Applications are invited for two energetic Postdoctoral Researchers to join the NSW Systems Biology Initiative within the School of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences.
The positions are part of the NSW Systems Biology Initiative (SBI), an exciting new initiative commenced in 2008 with $1M foundation funding. The SBI undertakes basic and applied bioinformatics research in proteomics, genomics and systems biology and is funded to also engage in collaborative projects with other groups in these areas. Collaborative projects are in association with users of the major -omics facilities in NSW including the Ramaciotti Centre for Gene Function Analysis, the Australian Proteome Analysis Facility, the UNSW Bioanalytical Mass Spectrometry Facility and the Southern Cross University Centre for Plant Conservation Genetics.
The successful applicants will have a PhD or relevant experience in bioinformatics for genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics or systems biology and will work with Professor Marc Wilkins and other members of the SBI team.
These are one year appointments, extendable for up to 4 years.
Salary range for Post Doctoral Fellow is A $65,503 - A$70,062 per year (plus 9% employer superannuation and leave loading).
